Q Instructions For this assignment, you will complete a draft of Assignment 1, the summary news lead that you will write about one of the public community government meetings provided in the assignment videos list.* (*n.b. You can opt to cover a public community government meeting in person, with the prior approval of your instructor. This draft represents the first step that you will take toward completing your final project for this class. Once your Finalized Assignment 1 is graded, you will be required to use the same video for all of the rest of your graded assignments, so choose it wisely! Your news lead must: • Be one complete sentence of no more than 20 words. • Use only active voice verbs in past tense. • Reflect the most important detail about what happened at the meeting. • Answer the question who-did-what-when? in that order. • Include a time element in the form of a day of the week. • Avoid using a name.
